Hi, Welcome to Microsoft Community. I would like to know what type of account you have configured in Outlook. (POP3, IMAP) Do you get any error messages? Let us try to uninstall google app sync and reinstall and check f it helps. If issue persist let us repair Office from the Control panel and check.
To do that, Press win +R on the keyboard (simultaneously) Run window appears. In Run let us type appwiz.cpl and click Ok. From the list of programs right click on Office 2016 and choose “Quick Repair” You may refer to the following article and check if it helps. If issue still persist, the let us create a new Outlook profile and check if it works. I hope the above suggestion helps. If you need further assistance, get back to us and we will be glad to assist you.

This is a work supplied Google Account so normal GMAIL setup does not apply.
In the past, you download the Google Tool - Connect to Google Apps via your browser - run the tool - it asked for your credentials and all is good. I cant even get it to connect to Outlook now and ask for Credentials This is a 32 Bit version of Outlook, Google Sync etc on a 64 Bit OS but that is the only issue so far that I see as potentially an issue But Google and MSFT should work quickly on this to make this work - I have so far uninstalled, reinstalled, edited registry issues - cleared temp files Please find a solution and its not what was posted above.
